As she did this, the young man said thank you and asked the flight attendant if they offered military discounts, as he's active duty. I stopped and signaled for him to merge in front of me. This afternoon I was running late to a meeting at a clients office, and legitimately speeding to get there on time. The next thing I know flashing lights went on behind me. It turned out to be the same exact police officer I let merge in front of me this morning. He recognized me and let me go with just a verbal warning.
